Foley comprises developing and “executing” every day to day sounds and noises for movies, short films, jingles, and TV programmes. Foley artists generate these sounds with diverse qualities in post-production in synchronicity with the visual. It adds realism and naturalness by drawing the audience’s attention.

 SFX and EFX both imply sound and electronic FX. Unlike Foley, it’s a special FX that’s not natural. These sounds are often used to give a scene a sense of massiveness, density, and weight that can’t be done with just “foley FX.” The term “audiography” is often used to describe this kind of aural artwork.
